Yes it was. I had it filled and re-shaped as shown, then drilled with a spherical plain bearing fitted, like the other end that bolts to the chassis.

Block cleaned up nicely, better than I thought. NO hone needed which was good news. All ready for bead blasting and painting here. Some before and after shots for perspective. Not so good news here though. Cylinder head will have to go in for a pro job. After the clean up topside, discovered it already has Heavy Duty Springs fitted - too bad, there coming out regardless - bought the APE springs, they are definitely going in AS you can see, we have a small problem here. Looks like a family of Mice have been living in # 2 pot - pmsl. All good, will have it ship shape bead blasted, ported and polished, valves lapped in, new stem seals and brass bushes as required by the end of next week, and ready for paint also.

Met with the bike specialist who will be performing the work on the head. Old school guy, mid 50's. Happy with his conclusions and the direction to be taken. Should be ready for collection Friday week. Front end comes back tomorrow and will be installed hopefully for the final time this weekend. Will be continuing with motor preparations in the meantime. Nothing to post in pics right now, in between coats with some items is all. Will post pics that are worth looking at later

Here is a better view of the frame so far. Currently working on the triple clamp that I just got back yesterday. Giving it that all important polish up before fitment. Couple of bits missing yet to go on, but we are getting there
