Engine run well whole riding season. Only problem was to get the engine temp. high enough to stop piston slap. E85 fuel burns a much cooler than gasoline. Instead of change E85 fuel to gasoline or resleeve cylinder bolck & bore to tighter piston to cylinder wall clearance I made other big block and this time for JE 80mm pistons. While I wait to get cylinder block from machine shop I made new seat tail. I think it fits better than former one. Old: New:

I get the cylinder block back from machine shop. Now it´s cleaned, measured and painted. I painted pistons with molycoating paint.

i feel a bit stupid for actually asking, but does that moly paint make a difference?

I dismantled old cylinder block and pistons and measured piston to wall clearance. It was 0.11 mm in every cylinder. Hayabusa pistons are 6 mm shorter than EFE original or JE 1327 pistons, so the piston slap happens a much easier. Now I waiting head gasket to get the engine running again. Lets see how it starts with 11:1 compression.

In the end of october I made test run. No more abnormal noises from the engine. Now I need to wait about four months before the next riding season starts here. The crankshaft which I thought was a bad main bearings in the summer 2013 returned to service. The fault was not on main bearings:

Today was dyno tuning day. Last year 1360cc best result was 205 rwhp and 175 Nm. Today 1327cc and slightly more ignition advance, higher red line and tuned slightly leaner the result was 209.7 rwhp and 181.3 Nm.
