hi just wondering if i can get a bit of advice on a couple of things.
rebuilding a 1100et thats been lying around my shed for 20plus years.the barrels look ok but the markings i scrached on the pistons back when i was young have gone so i have no idea which piston goes to which pot.the head was given the old 1170 big bore with new pistons and rings and proberly didnt do that many miles before it was dismantled. Is there anything i can do to lessen possible mismatching or just go for it.
also i have a gsxr 4.5 back wheel to fit it.At the moment i have a metmachex swingarm.has anyone managed to shoehorn a gsxr wheel into the original arm or do i have to get myself a early bandit swinger ?
cheers for any feedback

I've seen a 5.5" 3 spoker fitted to the std. 1100ET/Katana arm. The stiffening web inside the arm needs to be slightly 'massaged' to get it in. Having said that, I don't know if the ET I saw it fitted to had any mods to the left inside of the frame for the chain run. Put it together. I don't think there'll be much of a problem fitting a 4.5" in it.

i have an '81 1100 with a 5.5 gsxr rear and standard alloy swingarm. its tight, 5/8" offset sprocket, 520 chain, 170 tire (Dunlop), custom spacers. tire is really close at the pivot side of the swingarm, gotta set the wheel back on the chain adjustment. chain is damn close to the frame also behind the front sprocket. originally i tried 530 chain but the rivets hit the frame. no frame mods. after i finally got it all done has been good. 4.5 should be easier

et has ally arm same as the kat, i used to run zzr kwak wheels on my kat with a 180 tyre no clearance probs aside from having to go to 530 chain and having to make an offset sprocket for the gearbox end.
