Not been back to my dads since but no longer have time to play around with it myself. Need the bike back on the road asap so bitting the bullet and getting the local dyno centre to set it up for me. Also means ill be able to see what sort of output its got now. The engine was in my dads moto martin and was dyno'd at the 100 mark many years ago iirc.
But i dunno if there are any northerners (scottish) that have used hmd tuning i have only heard good things.

You will need to let us know how it goes and how much it's putting out I know I had a GS1000g with a 1085cc slid carb head that had been ported and a set of GSX1000 Kat slide carbs on, and it made 97 bhp at the back wheel on a dyno.

Another question do these carbs require a dual feed tap or will a t piece work or am i gonna suffer from starvation I've used a single outlet Pingle tap on my EFI turbo @370hp so that demonstrates the flow capabilties of a 6mm dia hole!

I'm using a T peace on my 36mm carbs and as a XJR tank a XJR standerd tap and they run fine.

Yeah all seems good on the tap front. Got it dynod putting out 98.7bhp at the wheel seen 150mph on the dyno as well lol. Only prob seem to have a wee electric gremlin think one of the coils may be on the way out when hot. Got a few miles away from the dyno workshop and started missfiring so 1 step forward another back the joys
