Someone has gone all American Gsxr downpipes fit the b12 at the head as spacing is the same but if this is for your GS the collector is going to catch in the frame & footrest area so some messing/hacking/welding will be needed Again if its for your GS you may have issues with clearance at the front depending on where the motor is sitting

Thanks for that slim what GSXR headers is it that fit? 1100? by "going to catch in the frame & footrest area" is that going to be the mid pipe? i am most bothered about the headers fitting, getting the mid section and can on is a job sorted out later. here are some B12 headers i have fitted at the moment, they seem to have lots of clearance at the collector, will the GSXR be much different?

1200 bandit engine, oil cooled 1100 down pipes, you might need the sump from a gsxr1100 to get clearance.
another 1200 engine, or head on a 1127 bottom, and gsxr 1100 oily down pipes

Alpha sport say there 2 dumps for 750/1100 I think it depends on weather the oil cooler connects at the front or underneath.
But I could be wrong.

Sorry for the late reply Steve, I see you already have extensions fitted at the head so clearance there should not be an issue, at an educated guess with what you have bought the collector will be tight to the sump but near enough for a little dink to sort that without changing sumps But if you do need to change it don't forget the pickup too
I reckon your main problem will be the link pipe being on the frame under the stock footrest area, the last akra I used on something similar to your bike needed the link cutting & an inch or two adding to get clearance, I guess its going to be suck it & see mate

cheers slim, not too bothered about cutting/changing the mid pipe, easy enough to get someone to weld that. will want the can slightly higher at the rear anyway. will only have the Akra road legal can fitted till after i get it registered
