Morning all
I've picked up a 1984 gsx750ef, 15000 miles. It has a current MOT and looks ok apart from a liberal coating of black paint hopefully not hiding anything.. My general thoughts are to marry up B12 running gear? Hopefully I'm on the right track there, forks are long enough and with off set front sprocket and spacers etc for swingarm. I'll bin the fairing and keep the tank, side panels, though like the look of the flat tracker rear end.
Any advice/things I need to think about would be appreasiated. Once I get started I'll post as a project. Cheers Paul

I did pretty much what you are thinking of about 7 or 8 years ago with a ratty Ef I acquired, I don't remember any hassle getting a B12 front end in, stem change & lockstops maybe, cant remember exactly For the back end I went twinshock with a much modded GS750 arm & B12 wheel, I also stuck B12 downpipes on it & made up a link pipe with a yosh can & promptly sold it to someone on here Here the start & here is work in progress a week or 2 before I sold it Hope that gives you some ideas

The B12 steering stem is too long (as slim somewhat hinted at) and either needs to be pressed out and swapped for an oilcooled GSX-R stem (search the forum, I believe there's a diameter hiccup involved) OR just swap the whole triple tree yoke thing for a set from an early/slingshot GSX-R (750J, 1100K) to minimise the work..

Cheers for ideas, I did wonder about the stem. I've got hold of a complete B12 mk1 front end, nice condition.
I got my eye on B12 swingarm too, though I'll do a bit more searching on this site for ideas. Cheers again
