i just got a 750k head and cams so i want put this on the bandit so [ stupid question time ] so all i need is the dot head and cams using the b12 cam sprockets , bandit cam cover ,bandit 1200 gaskets and use the b12 valve clearance,s and sort out the fuel tap ,and thats it ..thanks in advance lads yoshi and the b12 keep plate over the cam chain tunnel, it will become apparent when its all in bits. I found the biggest problem was the fuel tap hitting the carbs, I used a pingle which is located differantly, some clever sod on here has modifed a tap off of an FZR somthing for a few pence Yep, I used mk1 fazer 600 tap, not my idea btw, came from somebody else, just use the 1200 turn plate and a bit of trimming it fits snug to frame with loads of clearance, has no reserve on fazer tap, but it can be modified to fit one, cheap option to pingel tap

With good plates and springs, probably will, but to be honest its not consructed to be very strong and take abuse. Its much cheaper and weaker than gsxr and you can clearly see it when you look at it. Should be easy to convert though, gsxr diaphragm or coil spring type. UK Lee has written a good how to article about it somewhere, with parts you need and everything else..

Only time ive had probelms with the clutch was when I first raced it, it slipped like a bastard, so i fitted and ebc race kit, lasted 2 laps!!!! fitted new steels and fibers from Mr Suzuki and one barnett h/d spring and its never slipped once in the last 10 years, its been raced hillclimbed, sprinted and ridden 2 up in traffic, i replaced the fibers 4 years ago when i did the big bore and its been 100%,,,, yuo watch now ive said that the bugger will go at Mallory next weekend in the 1000 bikes festival..

Got plans to do this to mine but its in a early teapot 6 frame and clearance is already slim to none, looks like the tap problem might be a big one for me so i might just change the tank as well

Hi , new on here and I'm currently preparing a dot 750 head to fit on my 1200s bandit (1996). Completely cleaned up valves, seats etc . I have just noticed the exhaust gaskets I have for the exhaust don't fit in the 750 head, are the exhaust ports on the head a different size? I have also been told to use the 750 carb rubbers and not the bandit ones, why ? Got pingel tap ,already run pod filters and stage 3 dyno jet free flow exhaust system along with 5 degree ign advancer (will that be ok with higher compression? Sorry about all the questions but I want to have everthing ready to put it back together after I distmantle it Cheers coco

Hi again , ignore question about exhaust dimensions. The gaskets I had on shelve don't fit (they were bought for bandit a while ago) but the gaskets in new gasket set do fit !!! Still like to know about inlet rubbers and 5 degree ign advancer with higher compression .
Cheers

The inlet rubbers are matched to the dot head inlets, dot head inlets are angled, so the rubbers are needed to keep the flow, other rubbers leave a step inside disturbing the flow in, not sure if the dot head compression is so high the advancer would be a problem? Others might know

Cheers buddy, 1 of the rubbers split where the metal collet sits for screw to go through for mounting . I think I will be able to stick it together, tighten it an be able to seal it.
