Had to register here to see your procress Since you came in anyway, why don't you talk a bit about yourself/your bikes/wife/girlfriend. In the Introductions section for example.

Hi homer711, Would you be interested in making another mount for the alternator, it's just what I could do with. Cheers SRR

Hi there... It have been quite busy month so the bike have been alone in garage. Managed to do something, decided to relocate battery and make room for the water injection pump. There is one thing in the original naked efe desing that I dont understand. Why they put round headlight on it, rest of the bike is quite square . I might upset some guys now but I have to do this Pictures dont tell the truth but it is so much better for my eye now.

Finally the crank and clutch are under work. Best thing is that I get them back at the end of this month. I might get this on the road soon

Very nice! I was just recently looking into the external alternators for my GS1100.
How are you planning to drive it? obviously from the crank but, belt and pulley?
Also are you still going to use the factory stator in conjunction or just the outboard unit alone?
I would like to go water injection on mine also.
Looks like you are going for a serious build!!!
And by the way hi Moto! Not suprised to see you over now also!! LOL!!

Hi gsryder, yes it will be driven by belt. Original alternator can go now. I think that the gsxr one will handle the job. About the serious build... Yes this is one. This is my obsession and I want to do it right for me. But in long term there will be changes. There is still a lot of things that I want to do Our dog cant get his eyes off the crank

Forgot to keep you posted. Lately I have been working with these. Have to clean those gasket pockets. In hurry I forgot to mask them before painting. But the finish is great. Did not like the seat, now there is some support for my arse. Stock foam was partly very worn. And the finished product. Mocking up a new gauge setup. New licence plate holder. Ready for the go go Decided to make new loom. It is easier the make new one than modify the earlier one. So ebayed these connectors. They are dirt cheap in china Now I can throw away my keys

God damn it is hard sometimes. Some might have read from air cooled board that I got wrong main bearing Ape bolts. Have to wait them few weeks until I could end the engine build. Positive thing is that I found a new bigger garage and I am moving in at the end of this month. Now it takes only 5 mins to cycle there VS 30 mins by car at the moment. I am happy
