Not too much to report im afraid. Got a call from the guy at Pro Flo who is working on the cylinder head. Needs a full compliment of exhaust valves. Just ordered them from APE Parts California. That'll be a month of Sundays getting here, they have to have them made with a week for turn around before shipping. Better to resolve it now considering we are going to add some puff ;)Also ordered 4 x piston ring kits for good measure. Come this far, may as well.

As for the Chandelier, well I shall make sure it is not there for the next bout of pictures, glad you had fun with it though

In these situations though, you do what ever is necessary to complete the task at hand. No point in being a quitter so early in the game I say Both the HD clutch Spring Set and the Piston Ring / Oil Kits x 4 arrived today, something to do this weekend after all

Bottom end checked out nicely, nothing to report there, all good. Did a Oil pump change, cleaned out the sump pan galleries and filter on pickup. Very happy with results, coat of paint on the lower end of things, sump pan back on and looking the business. Side covers all taped up with nothing inside, all stripped out to fit new parts when I get it turned over later this week This was what I found when I took the head and block off. Broken Oil rings on # 2 and # 3. So pulled the pistons out, thorough clean up, pointed the crowns and gave them a quick polish for good measure - low and behold they are R1109 12:1 hi kickers. I was led to believe they were only 10:1 flat top TRW's that got put in back in 2004. What a bonus - pmsl .. Plenty more to come I assure you..

Bit more work done. Finished painting the block, installed the alternator, Starter, HD Ape Studs, New pistons pins, 2.5mm Aluminium block Spacer to take the edge off that 12:1 C/R, New piston and oil rings. Resting now till Sunday and then will do a final clean up of crap, setting the cam chain guides, hooking up cam chain before attempting the cylinder block. That will give me some time to do the other things that need attending, like clutches, electrics, re-wiring etc.
