Hi all, I know this question should be in the water cooled section ( have posted it there , with know replys)but I know you guys better,, ( I built the 1437 blow through turbo Spondon that was in the streetfighter section of bsh a couple of months ago, blue Union Jack paint) have a a lot of good advice from you....
im starting a strange build ...hard tail frame....9 1/2 ft long wp up side down forks....wp mirror polished engine ,wheels ,forks etc......now the top crankcase is damaged...my questions to you is.....are the gsxr750wp crankcases the same as the gsxr1100wp ones the bike on a k plate....have had little sucsess sorcing some,have sent some back as damage was worse than mine...found some on ebay in the usa but postage is well dear!!!! now theres some gsxr750 wp one for £50 mark (1/3 of the 1100 ones) als0 rf900 bottom end looks similar any advice greatfully accepted.......never had water cooled motor ,very impressed with the power !!!billyboy!!!!!

RF900 is the same as gsxr1100wp as that end of the engine. gsxr750 has different gearbox and clutch.

All I need is the top half of the crankcase. Rf 900 engine a lot cheaper, will have a look for bottom end .. Thanks billy boy

I think the bottom cases are the same on all the watercooled of that age.
The internals vary as do the clutch covers but I'm sure the cases are the same, check part numbers on alpha-sports.
They'll be machined as a pair so don't just get a top case, you need them to be from the same engine.

I think it´s better to use both parts of a crank case because of the bearing bores and their codes etc….

I have a set of cases here for the 1100 but the top rear bolt hole has been opened up by a mm or so. If that's not a problem for you then make me an offer.
