Hey everyone. Im working on doing a draw through turbo setup on a quad with a bandit 1200. My question is,how far can the turbo be away from the plenum? The closest i can mount it would be about 1 foot away from the plenum. Would that cause any issues with fueling? Thank you

I think it's more important to have the turbo closer to the head, someone will be along shortly to correct me.

Its a fact with a carb'd draw through the fuel distribution will always be a problem and length of tract won't improve it! Could always go EFI and stick the injectors in the plenum - that'd work great!

Yes you need the draw through turbo as close as possible to the head.
If you have to have the turbo so far away from the plenum, then yiu could make up for some of the poor fuellng by having a 1 into 4 plenum between the turbo compressor and inlet tracts.

Yeah the closest I can get it is about 10 inches away.i wanted to go draw through for the simplicity of things but it looks like I might have to go blow through instead!

Ok so I changed my direction to blow through and I have already built the plenum.I think I have most of everything sorted out except one thing... where is the best place to get your pressure take offs from? Pitot tubes in the charge pipe before the plenum, or from the plenum itself? I've seen it done both ways.and how many take offs?
