Guys, What is a road worthy but scuffed gsxr600 worth, 1998 model, running and taxed. A few scrapes here and there. ?? May buy it as another track bike.

how cheap is cheap?
Ignition is cut by the sidestand switch and the neutral switch. Might be a clutch switch as well, easy to bypass.

Thanks Captain, It now turns over but the clutch must be held in , even though its in neutral with side stand up or down.? It will start with fuel put directly into carbs , but not through the float bowls. ? The fuel is getting to the carbs , I've disconnected the fuel feed pipe at the carbs and remove the float bowl drain screws and all flow fuel.?? Is there a fuel solenoid or some thing on these carb model bikes. Also what is this cable for at the main relay fuse, it is disconnected/cut , what is it for?? Thanks Dts

My RF6 only started with the clutch held in too, even in neutral.

That little fuse holder looks very similar to a oxford trickle charger cable . gone em on both my running bikes. Also as danm54 said with his rf6, my 1000k2 only starts with clutch pulled in even in neutral.

Yes looks like a trickle charger but not fitted to the battery. The cable seems to head into the rear brake switch part of the loom.

Hi, The fuel pump doesn't work even when hard wired to a battery, are they fixable or replacement only.? Mitsubishi uc t 02s5 7404 is on the pump. How hard are they to take apart, as I loosened the top tangs and tapped with a mallet but it didn't budge.?

Thanks Slim, But at the moment it is just the pump is dead , very thing else seems ok. Unless you have one carb heater stuck away somewhere as one is broken on this. But I don't think they are needed ?

Gsexr, I 've heard these pumps are low pressure,? less than fuel injected ones,? Suzy want £200 + , eb*y stateside have one for £50 posted so will probably go for that if one doesn't turn up at reasonable money.??
