as they say the older i get the faster i was ? Not me matey, i was slow when I started and got a bit quicker, but was never goign to get near the front, i managed to run round in the midfield for a while, then i got a TL1000S and did sound of thunder for 2 years.. Now that was FUN................... but still slow, Best ever result in 5 years was 12th, mainly because most of the front blokes fell off... Donnignton

Fun Fun FUn................. Great looking pair of race bikes there. On the last photo of the Bandit - is that a modified bellypan to catch oil/coolant in the event of a blowup as ACU regs require? Just asking as I have a similar Bandit bellypan I was thinking of modding to go on my slaby 750 racebike. I'll be running it as more of a streetfighter style bike rather than a fully faired bike.

Yup the first year 2001 there was no need as the reg said if the bike wasent fitted with a fairing it didnt need a cathc ,tray next year everyone had to have them, its a powerbronze one with half a bucket fibergalssed onto tye back end, passed scrutineering Ok,

Cheers mate, I have the powerbronze bellypan as well. Looking at the photo, ground clearance looks a bit tight. Any issues there?

yes i used to ware through it quite frequently, every other meeting.. i glassed layers of stainless thin plate on the inside and shed loads of layers of fiberglass on the outside... also i jacked it up to give better turn in and ground clearance..
