Hi,
I have recently bought a project bike, the guy who sold it to me said the engine was a gsx750f, but upon contacting a suzuki garage they said the engine num is coming back as a bandit 600 engine but they weren't 100%. Is there any other way to tell?
Cheers

Forgive my ignorance barrels? Where the pistons live. The cylinders, between the head and crankcases.

engine number starting with N means it's a 600, R means it's a 750

So the guy from Suzuki was right, it is a 600 bandit engine. They said they think it is around a 98 engine, any ideas what mk that is? For when I buy part?

'98 is Mk1. Does the output shaft have a speedo drive thingy (screwed in the front sprocket nut)? If no it's a Mk1, if yes it's a Mk2 with electronic speedo.
