Michael has announced that he will most likely be taking next year off as he can not agree terms with Ho*** , or anyone else at the moment?? not sure what is going on but to walk away from H**** is a big decision in his career for a young man. He will be badly missed as he was the man to beat this year. Keep my ear to the ground for any Chinese whispers , this side of the sea.
So will someone else step up and break the MGP lap record again this year in the F1 Race ? Or will Michael be persuaded to go for a holiday ride ? Whether you think he should be there or not, there's no denying he has gelled with the XR69 repicas
Maybe he couldn't be doing with all the corporate bull excrement at Honda , there's no doubting he is the man to beat on the roads at present , but all the photo shoots, show appearances etc. that seem to be demanded by all the big factories as part of the contact , aren't for everybody. Joey was very reluctant to change his ways for Honda , so maybe Michael is following in his uncles footsteps.
It's debateable about him being the man to beat this year, even if he was riding it's far from certain that he'd be on the top step.
Hutchy's back on a bike and in good form too. I seem to remember him doing five wins at the TT. Ignore McPint at your peril, he has all the skills, experience, a factory Honda ride and a point to prove. Then there's Connor Cummins who's got his Honda ride. Not to mention Anstey, Johnson, Hillier, Brookes etc
It's a shame that MD won't be there, but it will be excellent racing with or without him.
Hutchy will be back this year and will certainly be a force to be reckoned with. McGuinness is a legend but I think he's settling into his TT slippers... lol Dunlop is just flexing his contractual muscles and playing them at their own game.. good luck to him whatever happens
Latest grape vine news, MD has a BMW superbike and stock, and is looking for a fast R6,? but also heard today that there may be a Triumph in the background , this came from a multi x TT winner , of which Ireland has a few, so a few to guess at. I for one would love to see him wrestle with the Beemer.
