A M8 who's not a member here just sent some piccies of his recently completed Mag 4 which looks pretty good - not fully my taste, but different nonetheless! Any comments welcomed and i'll pass them on.

Colour sheme is pretty well. Seat unit isn't really my taste. Would never cut of the subframe of such a trick frame. Just my 2 cent. Rest looks very clean.
Great job indeed.
Does not look like the orig. tank. Can you find out and tell me, how he solved the tank venting problem? Thanks in advance.

Your right - the tail angle just don't look right to me but there again its not mine! Not the original tank - made by John at the Tank Shop by the previous owner (also a M8) - Its huge, holds about 4.5 gallons as the owner was fed up filling up every 100 miles or so on trips to Le Mans and Spa! I think its internally vented - i'll look next time is see it!

Personally i wouldnt have used any off the shelf seat unit on there & i dont like the angle as others have said but the rest looks to be a brilliant job with a lot of attention to detail Well done that man !

Yep, its a lot nicer than all the standard plastics about now and a damn good effort but not to my taste (you did ask for opinions!) Lots of things i would have done differently but no point in listing them, s'not my bike, its built already, the builder did it that way through choice/budget constraints/availability/timescale so he/she now needs to get out and kick the arse out of it and enjoy.

Saw it in the metal so to speak last nite and honestly the pictures don't do it justice! Its not as white as it appears and the blue is really really deep. All the logos are airbrushed so no ridges and apparently there are 16 coats of clear on it! ! ! ! ! The tail piece is a whole R6, plastic, subframe, lights and internals so if it does get trashed is a very easy fix and fits together like stock. Checked the tank out and yes it is internally vented and well baffled so you don't get the fuel sloshing around when you want to get MotoGP on it! Its now going to sleep for the winter but will be out next season - hope it'll be worth it
