I was thinking about the GSXR1000 engine thing - and it occurred to me that you could probably fit SRAD bodywork to a k1-k5 GSXR1000 and most people would think it's a SRAD... the frame looks largely the same to casual observer, the tank is near enough, swinger is already braced like an early works SRAD...

I looked at a couple of builds that have used later k1000 engines & one using a Hayabusa, but they both require a bit of cut & shutting & a lot in the case of the Hayabusa motor. So its a none starter for me & the plan from the start has to leave the motor stock ( proberly ) lafouine78 any more pictures of the bike in your Avatar, build thread?

find out how much for one martin, may be interested myself lovely aren't they! Mark The dry break is £400.00 + Vat & delivery. They offer a fitting service to your tank at extra cost. One of the bikes on show on RaceFits stand is a Heron Suzuki/XR replica, a brazed together steel frame with a Bandit motor & it has a Pair of my R covers Kawasaki have a noise machine in the shape of their new H2 been run on a dyno.

Eck the years moving on. Been working on the SRAD a bit, the frame went off to the powder coaters last week. The frame should be back next month. Couple of bits collected, new fiber glass rear seat unit & a couple of cheep fuel tanks as I want to cut them up to see if I can make an endurance tank. My frame holding frame needs reworking as I thought it held the frame as though it`s on it`s wheels. But putting it along side a standard SRAD it`s nothing like it, so not sure what I measured. The the forks & shock are back from FTR suspension after a rebuild
