Looking good, but the exhaust is letting it down, sorry. As I said 'temp can' fancied a racefit system but not sure how it would fit as the back end is much wider.

Hi mate,
Was there much modification to the swingarm to get it to fit in the frame? I'm contemplating the same transplant only due to a good deal being made with a guy who's building a gxsr11 streetfighter. Only issue is I won't have rear shock to transplant like you did.
Any advice from you would be appreciated

I'm contemplating the same transplant only due to a good deal being made with a guy who's building a gxsr11 streetfighter. Only issue is I won't have rear shock to transplant like you did. Any advice from you would be appreciated Jarrod /quote] Hi Jarrod, The mod took a bit of working out at the time but here's what I came up against, all this from memory so bear with me. I made up 2 top hat spacers to drop the gsxr spindle size to the efe, 25mm od to 16mm id. The shoulder width was made up of half the short fall in swingarm to frame width, between 3-5mm can't remember off hand. Lots of info out there on s/arm widths. The next problem was the shock mounting, as you know the std EFE is a work of art!! I removed the top standard mounts from the cross tube and fitted a length of 5 x 50mm angle along and under the std frame tube extended onto the the frame box section by approx 10mm, then seam welded it into place. The centre stand mounts were cut back and strengthened with 10mm flat bar shaped to the frame curve then welded in place (pics in this project). Other niggles were the foot plates which were very close to the arm once fitted. took a grinder to the inside mount and spaced the outside mounts out with washers/spacers on advice from a fellow member. Chain alignment was a pain, used the efe hub in the wp wheel but this still left me about 8mm adrift, got round this by packing out the front sprocket and removing the lock washer and grinding away most of the retaining nut shoulder. Once fitted I threadlocked 2 x 20mm long grub screws into the sprocket which then stopped the nut from coming loose. The sprocket cover then hit the chain when fitted, got round this by grinding it away bit by bit until it was clear. Chain and sprockets were changed to a 530 set up with 18/46 teeth (2 teeth downfrom std ratios) along with a 130 link chain cut to length. Final issue was the ride height, this was taken care of by custom made dogbones(after a few attempts, (12mm @ the shock worked out to around about 40mm at the wheel) ended up with 218 centres. Hope this helps, shout up if you need any other info. Cheers Ali

Is there a chance I could put the 95 GSXR 5.5 rear wheel in stock swing arm to reduce the amount of engineering? I know I'll need a rear caliper bracket still and a narrower sprocket drive.

Never tried it myself so I can't say either way. Somebody on here will have the answer as I'm sure it will have been tried before.
Cheers
