Funny, this has been on my mind too. I done it with my LC, 375 top end on 250 bottem end so wondered if it could be or why I can't be done. Then I also read you cannot put a gamma 500 top end on the 400.

yes you can use 500 barrels on the 400 but you have to get the top crankcase machined out to suit the barrels

Seem to remember someone of old site was doing this, but you would need stronger rods, cut down barrels and sort cr out depending on which pistons you use O and need to open crankcases out to. Also seem to remember in frankinsteens articles that 1052 crank can be fitted to gsxr 750 k,j, to achieve same thing. Have not done this myself though so don't quote me on this.

Also Them not exactly line up, you will need to figure oil passages out and cam chain tunnel has to be trimed.

also anyone done a 6 speed conversion ? With a bit of filing them fit, you will have to bore the axle though for the clutch rod and that can be a pain in the ass Keep in mind that the 6 speed trany fits in the place of the 5 speed ( smaller construction). Also there ve been issues with them self distracting

Long stroke 750s have a unique con rod. You can't fit 1052, 1127, or 750J/K pistons to a 750 FGHLM rod as the little end eye in the rod is too small. You can't fit the 750J/K or 1100 model rods as the big end on the rod is different to the big end on the 750 FGHLM crank. The 750 FGHLM mains are different too so the other cranks won't fit. 750J/K mains are the same as 750 teapots and 1052/1127 mains so cranks may swap between those but you need the rods that go with the crank because the big ends are different. Basically, if you have a long stroke 750 you are stuffed for a capacity increase using Suzuki parts. I looked at all options using oil cooled bits years ago and gave up Easiest way is to find aftermarket big bore pistons designed for the job and then fit new liners to the slabby barrels.
If you fit a 750 box in an 1100 based engine it is just a matter of time before it breaks, unless you are just pottering around on it, which defeats the object really. I know of a few 1100 race bikes with 750 boxes and it really is just a matter of time.
