hi guys just installed a new set of forks on my bike and they are 5inch shorter than the original non usd forks which leaves me with 2.5inch ground clearance......not good. what would be the easiest way to extend the forks with 3-4inches? Someone suggested to get round blocks machined to screw on to the top of the fork leg after setting the forks and move the triple tree up. is that the easiest and cheapest option available thanks in advance

You probably could fit fork extensions as you said, I think it would be tricky with fully adjustable USD forks Also, the area of the fork leg that the lower yoke clamps to would be in the wrong place, it looks from the picture that you could only drop the forks through about 1".
You could have stepped yokes made to position the forks lower, but it's not a cheap option.
I think the easiest and cheapest option would be find some longer forks and sell the ones you have.

Or swap the exhaust for something that has a flat collector such as a Marving.

You would have to have a pair of stepped yokes done, top and bottom. Even then, if you go more than about 50mm it starts to look stupid and you would still need fork extensions over 75mm. If you left it "as is" and fitted a flatter pipe I think it would handle like a shopping trolley. Longer forks required I think.

What about getting longer stanchions to extend the forks? Machined maybe or from another bike. The diameter of the stanchion is 43mm, but I don't know the length of the tube.

1100 slingshot usd are 775-765mm depending on year and are the longest.. 750 slingy are 750 ish mm, they all have the same bearing so should fit straight in, anything can be made to fit with astem swop.. ive made a stpeeed yuoke by welding 2 top yoke=s together to gain 25mm for my 750 slingsy forks it works well and cost £15 and a cake to bribe the welder at work.. welders like cake....
