Well, now the bikes are just about done, its about time we started another project.
It started off with the idea of selling the transit and buying a trailer and using the gazebo for race meets. I sold the van back in November so went on the lookout for a trailer. We found one local but it wasnt for sale, anyway, Tony Hastings told me he was going to sell his trailer back in Jan, so we snapped it up, great little trailer, little on the small side but it would do us............. and then sods law, 2 weeks later the local trailer we were eyeing up went up for sale. Handily enough, when we enquired about it, he was looking to get a smaller trailer as he had switched from racing mini's and started racing Karts. So we part ex'd the trailer with him and got a trailer big enough for Me and dad for the bikes, and my brother for his drift car. So in a round about way, it all worked out in the end lol The idea being that we dont need to use the gazebo no more as we will work on the bikes at race meetings in the trailer, as a ride in mobile workshop.
This is going to be a long term project, the chassis itself is solid and has been built to a very good standard and tows very well, but for what ever reason, its been rushed towards the end and hasnt been finished properly. So now we are going to kit it out to suit our needs.
So this is it, bit ugly yeh but itll get sorted We're also going to rip the roof off and raise the roof at the front before we all get concusion from banging out heads on it lol
First thing to do was fit a load of tie downs for the bikes, we did this so both bikes are directly over the axles so to stop it being too heavy on the tow hitch while towing, also fitted a few more so we can tie down the scooter, tool box's etc.
Tried it out 4 weeks ago and what a god send it was, -1C and Snowing at Santa Pod, so we put the heater on, table, chairs, and used it for the whole weekend to work in, it was brilliant:yoohoo will be doing a bit more this weekend
