Coming home from the pub last night, pulled up at a set of lights and the engine started to stumble so i gave it a bit of throttle to bring the revs up noticed a strong smell of burning oil looked behind me and i could barely see 20 yards for the smoke cloud, i killed the bike and push it to the side of the road had a look down the cans and they both had a good covering of oil, had a look at the front header and oil was leaking from around the exhaust gasket and drips of oil from where the link pipes slot in to each other. i checked the site glass for oil it didnt even touch the bottom but the low pressure indicator didnt show i really didnt hear any strange noises, i wasnt thrashing it just a gentle cruise home. anyone know what might be the likely culprit blocked breather maybe

Morning mate, my first thoughts are head gasket/valve stem seals. Firstly I would get a compression tester and see if there was a problem. Iam sure another member will pop up with an idea/suggestion soon, good luck

If you need any engine parts I've got a complete engine with knackered crank but most everything else is fine. Give me a shout if your stuck. Dave H
