Hi All, Does anybody know how many 1000 cc katanas were imported to the UK? To clarify how many came in through Heron Suzuki not grey market imports ,Mine was first registered in 1983 according to the V5 ? that said the frame and engine numbers decode it to being an 1981 year model . just wondering what the total was. Mines a genuine 1000 UK spec , VM carbs ,suede ? seat no pillion strap cast wheels and its been mine since 1986.
Thanks

When I bought my s/hand 1100 in 1984 there were 3 kats in the shop, my 1100 and two 1000's , they were still there months later and in the mean time the shop had sold another 3 s/hand 1100's

Yes, a few lira spent there on the right gear -- well done! Those Harris zorsts are yummy. Dunno why people would turn their noses up at the Kat1000's... shame you had to part yours out, 'katana'. :-(

ive been collecting bits to build a retro katana for years. i wanted a kat with all the goodies that folks put on their bikes in the 1980s, metmachex, marozocchis, slide carbs, lockhart cooler, harris, micron brace, cma wheels. ive even got a 1000 engine with the gs100x number. just need to get my finger out!
