this may be of some interest to you guys
Kevin finally put the old Kettle into the Nines at Thompson Raceway Park 07/01/2014
he ran 9.9958 with a terminal speed of 133.60 mph
he would be pleased to think that the members of this forum thought he did good.

Back in the eighties I rebuilt a kettle as a race replica, the motor came from a racing outfit and had been tuned to as near tr750 spec that still allowed it to keep its alternator. Gave up on it in the end as it broke my heart the first time I used it and found it struggled to get into double figures mpg wise, sold it cheap to an ex work mate

my uncle had one back in the 80-90's used it to race too...
i was only a child
this means, if i get a chance of buying one.... just like the cbx1000-6 cil.
but the problem is finding one for a bargain!

smileywtfStrewth. 9.99, 133 terminal and a 1.35 60 ft. Not only does the geezer know how to ride, his Kettle must be making some serious power. Love to know what's been done to the motor. Hobbs.
