Hello all, I've wanted to build a chop for a while now. Luckily I had my 1100 fighter to break for parts. Forks, lump, loom, oil cooler and wheels at my disposal. So this is where I am at the moment: Would like to run the busa rear wheel but the spindle drop outs are 20mm. Got my hands on a bandit rear spindle to fit but from memory I'm sure the busa rear spindle was 28mm. Does anybody know of a bearing swap that would be suitable for this application? Stuck on decisions with the tank too, so many out there... any suggestions/ideas/criticisms fire away Cheers!

In regards to the spindle issue, would anyone be able to tell me if it's a complete no no to sleeve down the busa spacers to 20mm and leave the crush tube in situ? Thanks in advance

why o why such a pretty fighter in the making,s ?? Build was taking a while and had some gnarly shit happen in my life. Put it into storage 90% complete and never got round to finishing it. Not sure if he's on here nowadays but the frame/swinger/subbie/seat unit was off of Sparts old bike. With the chop I can start fresh. I've a complete 750m + fairings in boxes to start as soon as this chops completed. Going to need a bigger garage soon!

yeah you can sleeve the bearings down but you do need to do the same with the centre spacer, if you just stick a skinny spindle through without sleeving it the spindle is going to bend, trust me its a twat to get when some idiot has done that & it also screws the bearings in double quick time

Everythings mocked up at the moment, waiting on some steel to make a start on tank and seat brackets. Get running gear sorted then go to work on the lump!
