I've had this one on going now for a couple of years, most of the time it has been languishing in a shed with bouts of activity. It started as a non running 1983 gsx750e (the really ugly one with a cockpit fairing). the bike was picked up about 4 years ago as a non runner for a couple of hundred pounds.
I have always likes the looks of the old gs750 but not the lack of power or the way it rides but I do not like the looks of the later gsx750's but do like the way they handle.
So I decided to strip the bike back to the bare bones and get the best of both worlds :
Front forks and yokes are gsxr110k with bandit 1200 risers and renthal bars. Rear shock has been replaced with a slightly modified Sachs shock from a Ducati Monster with modified links to raise the back end.
The body work is 1977 gs750, the tank has had the fuel tap moved forward and the top modified to take the gsx filler cap, its numerous dents were lead loaded and painted in cellulose. It still needs lacquered .
The seat was an old two four item picked up from e bay and recovered by Saddlecraft in South Shields.
The original motor is going to be rebuilt and I will be using gsxr1100k downpipes to llow a four into two sytem [img src="s30.postimg.org/e6d05aclt/019.jpg" src="http://s7.postimg.org/3tg20d223/005.jpg" style="max-width:100%;"]

Can see this being fun when it runs.
Oldschool style + modern handling, what's not to love?
Side note: Them mirrors o0

Away at the minute so this is on hold, playing in the Alps on one of my other bikes, unfortunately not the one below , I am seriously thinking about an oilcooled gsxr or gsx750f motor

Waiting for a lock set to arrive and then it is just about ready for a full dry build , I'm also tempted to buy a pattern gs1000s fairing or similar and spray it to match. I'm using a set of 4 into 2 gsxr1100 stainless steel down pipes and will match them to a pair of replica Dunstall silencers to get the right look. It is coming along slowly but to be honest when I got it the bike was really only fit for the skip
