Fitted a boost gauge does not seem to work that well, bloody thing is all over the spot ? you realy need a gylcrine damped gauge for stable readings

Didn't fit the T first time when i did it did improve it a bit.

Well a bit of bad news for me. Oil been spilling out of breather bottle I had on the back of the bike onto the back tyre, so mounted one on the oil cooler (changed oil cooler setup as well) and it spewed even more oil out of the filter on top of the tank. After asking a couple of questions on OSS facebook tried this as thought the clutch may have been throwing oil up the breather pipe. Still spews oil out of breather tank. So looks like a rebore and busa pistons next.

With that set up it will blow the oil everywhere! The crankcase vent has to vent - with that set up, as soon as it blows a quantity out the vent is below the oil! Blow through a straw into a drink glass and it bubbles quite violently - same as that! Run the vent to the top and directed to the bottom and the oil will seperate and the fumes will vent via the K&N. If it was me - i'd put another vent on - and bigger! Can't have too many on a turbo motor!

Found the problem why I had to much crank case pressure, the 2 middle pistons had broken up between the rings.

Got the barrels rebored for busa pistons (which I had in my shed) 1216 cometic head gasket new base gasket 4 down tube O rings 6 O rings for the head gasket and 16 valve guide oil seals. Total cost so far including re bore pistons and seals is 409 pounds. Just on with putting it back together at the moment.

All back together again, had to get some more pistons cos like a numpty that I am had gen 2 pistons with 18mm gudgeon pins (thanks Jack Frost). Runs well apart from cutting out at high speed (fuel starvation) new pump on its way from Dave Dunlop, it's also missing a bit between 2k and 4k so playing around with needle heights. Did increase main jet size to 124.

After a bit of cutting welding grinding and a splash of paint I ended up with this. Think it looks ok and it sounds even better .

Done a few miles now, had to fit a new tyre as I scrubed the last 1 down to the canvas. Fitted new fuel pump and bike still cutting out at high speed. Have discoverd that the actuator is fubard also turbo unit is leaking a bit of oil, so on the look out for a new unit, its a T25.

Looks like you have been having fun Clive just read your thread and seems few things rings, and turbo etc, but I've noticed your breathers or lack of just my two pennith, but I run same setup as yours and I had to fit two 1" breathers from top of rocker cover, and other from clutch cover. As I had issues with this myself, and ran them out over chain gaurd, never had problems after that, most guys seem to run -10 fittings out of clutch cover with 90deg elbows, either way I'd look into this on yours even with busa slugs. Keep it up looks great, I'm looking at upping boost next time and inter cooler , from 7psi + cheers fula.
