Got bare cases fitted at the mo, need to sort a proper oil return into the clutch cover. Looking at getting a tig welder to help with that and the final little bits of fabrication so that'll probably hold things up a bit.
Also still waiting for a cush hub and yokes. Does get a little frustrating waiting but I only him for materials...
Fingers crossed it'll be tuned early next year and road ready by summer.
Have bought a tig welder though! 160 amp AC/DC R-tech tig welder. Had a play over the weekend and getting better at alu welding, need thicker filler rods for the 6mm and I'm having trouble getting a small weld on thin sheet. Laying a bead down is ok but a lap weld just doesn't stay neat. As I've never done it before I think I'm doing ok though.
Also got the bike ramp to the new house, got a battery powered hydraulic pump and ram on it now so raising and lowering is easy.
Few more bits done today, turned down the rear wheel spacer so it now holds the rear caliper bracket. Thats been bead blasted and anodised since the last pic.
And what it looks like fitted. Need a couple of helicoils yet but its there.
This was also made a while ago but I've never finished it as it needs welding and I didn't have a Tig.
This little piece and a self aligning bearing
Fits here to support the other side of the turbo. Once its welded I'll push the bearing fully home and make a stainless pin to hold it. Should let the turbo expand and contract whilst still supporting the weight.
