I see this petrol pump being used, how reliable is it? any one used one for any good period of time? do they handle the heat ok? Thanks

my mate uses it on his GSX-R1100 turbo, now 4000km and no problems at all.
Since FBM recommends it it should be OK.

What type of Facet pump? Obviously they are oil safe being petrol resistant (although with the shite in petrol these days thats not guaranteed!) but i'd be wary pumping hot, relatively viscous oil. I thought FBM's pumps were a type of vane pump and therefore better suited to the task?

I'll try to find FBM's email and tell you exactly which model pump he recommends. *edit* this is what FBM recommended to me. I guess it's the same as the one in your link.

Thanks for that, I've a tiny little cooler that would work well to cool the oil before it hits the pump. If one has lasted 4000km, I'm happy to use one on my bike.Even if I replace it every 10K.

FBM use a metal geared pump for scavenge -recommended me change it every two years / 12,000 miles
