So anything to look out for? like the idea of a late fuel injected bike in Blue & White. Any thoughts.

A high mileage bike which has been taken care of is a better buy than a low mileage one which has been neglected. And buy the most complete one you can find. Shiny like new bodywork is often hiding an ex-race bike, so look underneath the clothes.
Of course the usual stuff applies, like jumping out of gear. Not lubricated gearshift mechanisms can cause this. These bikes are easy to work on but they need to be maintained correctly otherwise they are a pain in the ass.
Ten years ago I used to own a 1998 SRAD 750 (with EFI) and it was an awesomely fast bike, just a bit too modern so i sold it and bought a 750L again.

Main probs are the gearbox(like most suzuki's),they lock into gear if selected by mistake.Mine had 2nd gone and ran it at the Pod and did a few thousand miles like it,used to skip through from 1st to 3rd.Wheelies are the main cause. Also if the clutch is slipping, then check the 3 small stretch screws have been replaced in the clutch basket.Tight wads don't change them(cost about 20p each).I'd have another, one of the best bikes i've owned

the gearbox lever and linkage should be kept very clean and lubricated, it's sensitive for dirt and when it doesn't move easily the internal gearshift mechanism gets a very hard time. With jumping out of gears as a result.

Well 2013 didn`t go quite as planned. Buy a SRAD ride it round for the summer, then tidy it up a bit. Bolt a few bits to it happy days. 3rd ride out the chain broke, turns out the previous owner had used a split link not a rivet link. That proved a long day. Anyway work & life took over a bit, so it took a bit of a back seat. So been buying a few bits & the stuff to do a full service. But the more I look the more trick stuff there's about for SRAD`s & at not mad money. This is what started the SRAD quest off. Bought it off the old old skool site, with the intention of putting it in the Slab Side. Was talked out of that idea, wrong era & all that. So should I start a build thread or keep it here in water cooled, in case its not old skool enough.
