My GSXR seems to be running rich - it's 22 years old now and on 40,000 miles. I've seen on the web that the needles and needle jets (emulsion tubes) are likely to wear, so I intend to strip the carbs, ultra-sonic clean them and fit new needles and needle jets (I've stripped and cleaned them a few times in the past). Options are: - Suzuki genuine needles and needle jets
- Dynojet kit (which I think comes with needles and needle jets)
- Suzuki genuine needle jets and Factory Pro kit (which includes needles)
What's best to go for?
The bike is standard apart from a K&N air filter (standard air box), stainless downpipes and a micron exhaust can.
Thanks

would've thought with a non standard exhaust and a k&n filter you would need a stage 1 kit either factory pro or dynojet theres a bit of info on this web page www.ablett.jp/gsxr/gsxr_super_tune.htm

I've got the 94 WR, when I last cleaned and replaced needles/ jets, I just used a pattern carb kit recommended by my local dealer. Its what his mechanic uses and I've had good results with my fueling since. I was the same, running rich, but did as the link provided by Almostthere suggests, got a K and N free flowing filter and also set the needle to the lowest ring setting ( of which there were 5 positions). Funnily enough I'm also using a Quill end can, as is suggested, but it came with the bike so I can't claim that one ;-).
