I am in the process of installing busa rods in my 1216 bandit motor with a cylinder spacer, my question is do i use one base gaskets with the spacer and sealant? or use 2 base gaskets. what is the best/correct way to use the spacer. thanks in advance

If its copper or soft alloy I just coat both sides with Gaskacinch - job done. Hard alloy i'd use two paper gaskets.

On my EFE spacer I used to use a standard base gasket each side of the spacer plate, had to cut the holes out bigger with tin snips. Never had any leaks that way. Cheers SRR

The spacer is a kind of gasket, two faces with sealant done right seals fine. The trick with this kind of sealant/joint is, assemble the joint & only torque up to 50% of the fasteners value. Allow the sealant to 'knock off' for a while, then torque up to the finale value, done a few this way, never a problem........
