Was working on the rear brake caliper the other day, brushing and cleaning before changing the seals.. The caliper was incredibly corroded in the groves where the seals sit, but I managed to get them pretty clean.. I then remembered that when I placed my order at cmsnl, I did not order the pressure metal clips that stabilizes the brake pads, or the plastic shield that sits underneath.. Since the caliper was in a pretty ugly shape, and the pistons were ok, but had some sign of rust damage, instead of ordering the remaining parts for the caliper I needed, I decided to buy a complete pretty one with 23000 km, on ebay.. Gonna clean that one up and install my new seals in that one instead.. Also I decided to sell my Devil trophy exhaust, and ordered a titanium motogp style exhaust from legend motorcycles, Im most certain it's the exact same item as the one danmoto sells. The danmoto: www.dan-moto.com/DM_INT/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=18_20_58&products_id=293&zenid=372h2mdbltvrul0puobrej8ni6I just love the raw race look on that exhaust, and that is also going to be the intended look im going for on this bike.. No bling or high polished parts, just raw functionality I should recieve my caliper on monday, and I'll have some pics ready then fellas..

Thanks fellas Ok a change of plans.. While cleaning the frame today I came to the conclusion, that I won't waste my time fiddling with sandpaper and stuff to get the frame ready for paint, have done that too many times before, and sanding fairrings is enough.. Instead Im going to get it glasblasted at a nearby shop, it shouldn't be too expensive, and at the same time im getting a proper result in the end

test fit of my gsxr 600 k6 k7 shock, it sure looks pretty, but it's a no go The primary problem is the width, not so much the length, but im not sure the pivot action is correct when the link is that much lower than intended.. This shock measures exactly 320mm eye to eye. It looks like the max lenght eye to eye on a b6, is 305mm, maybe 310.. Some good stuff arrived And the new caliper

For the shock link to work, cut out the captive nuts for the center stand mount and use that to mount the leaver and it'll work spot on Fbob will probably have the picture from when he did it knocking around but wont load up from my phone Looking good though!!

Thanks danny, I did think about going that route, but then I would need much longer dog bones, and Im unsure if everything would clear under travel..? the dog bones have a tight fit on top of the swingarm.. I think I'll go with the r6 shock instead, as it's the exact same length as the standard shock, and getting a bushing for the lower bolt shouldn't be a problem

Looks petty but as the swingarm goes up the shocks pulled down, so the spring, bound and rebound will all work sdrawkcab.:-)

my k9 1000 Has a similar set-up. Why wouldn't it work?

The rose joint towards the left becomes the pivot point so as the black swingarm above it bounces upward the end connected to the shock moves downward, therefore the whole shock/damper is working in reverse.
