Really impressive Good careful work - looks new ! Is the frame heavy on the 1100F ? - have thought about getting one of these one day and up-rating the running gear. I love the oil cooled motors - would be a nice addition ? OS

Thanks mate :-)
Yep, the frame is made of steel and is very heavy, you won't believe how heavy the original exhaust is too ! Saying that, although it's no sports bike I find I can hustle it when I want to, the acceleration is still impressive (to me anyway) and it's very comfortable. They pop up on Ebay from time to time for very little money and like all old Suzys, they are a perfect base for modding so long as you're not expecting to make a pocket rocket ;-)
Colin.

Thanks for the reply - might get one - had thought of getting an old FJ1200, but being a Suzuki sort of chap at heart I think the 1100F might be more me ! - love the scenery on the last photo .

Powerscreen engine is mega-strong. Remove some weight from the bike (modern forks & wheels and a good 4 into 1 exhaust for a start), 38mm Mikunis from a GSX-R750, and it's a rocket.

Sounds good Mr Chaos ! - comfort and 'heck this is shifting' performance . . . . . . OS Ohhh yes ! just to get it to handle the swingies a little better and get it to breath a little more easily and then I'll be happy... except for the paintwork... and I want the frame etc plastic coated... and, and and... ;-) Oily Spanner, if you see one for the right price grab it, you can always drop the motor into a 600 frame to make a wicked "sleeper" but if you're soon to be 50 like me keep it as it is, fit a taller screen and enjoy the comfort and ability to pull like the Starship Enterprise at any revs in any gear :-D Colin.

it sounds good because it is good. I bought a Powerscreen engine 15 years ago, and put it in my Slingy 750 with 38mm carbs and a Termignoni 4-2-1 (f@cking lightweight exhaust). As you can imagine it lays the shit down hard. Now I'm a bit older and that same engine is in an EFE with more modern running gear. A bit softer but still nice. The 1100F is a good compromise between low and high revs power, it pulls hard all along the rev range. Like a B12 but when you expect it to hold back at 8000 RPM it just keeps going. (EFE with powerscreen engine is for sale now by the way) [/thread hijack]
