Well..... the build has stalled already, well....not realy, but we have decided to take a different approach to the project, new frame, new motor, but still an outlaw, and still a Suzuki...... newskool, but oldskool enough to be cool
We're finally putting together what a few of us have been planning for the last year or so. And its gonna be fucking awesum if it works out....its a big risk tho

Right, sorry for the late reply, we have been busy trying to put the new plan together and get the required parts sorted im happy to say, that we now have a new chassis and engine as a basis of the project. Here we have a 2006 gsx1400 chassis, which we have chosen because of the 28mm swingarm spindle which should cope with the power and stresses we plan to put through this bike.....which also means we have just picked up today a 2007 gsx1400 motor with 9k miles on the clock. we have a definative plan now, and it will be slow progress for the next few weeks untill my gsxr is finished for the 2015 season, but it wont be long and we will be full steam ahead on the project

About time, mister. Is there a reason for choosing a 1400?

About time, mister. Is there a reason for choosing a 1400? Theres a few reasons but the main one being displacement. We have plans to increase the bore sizr and compression. Rather than taking a GSXR out to its limit, this option gives us the same result from the factory. Number 2 is why not? My old man has always wanted a gsx1400 but foesnt ride on the road any more. As far as we know, no one has done what we intend to do with this motor so its unknown territory and a big risk, but we beleive it will work. Parts availability is an issue but after months of research we beleive we can get off the shelf parts from other bikes and make them fit. Its going to be interesting and challenging but we're up for it.

don't forget to use some shopping trolley parts. It's the hot thing nowadays apparently. Don't do it! I tryed using the bars off an asda trolley, now when I go out I have to make sure I've got a quid to get my chain off and the bikes developed a wonky wheel so it won't go straight.

I tried that but found I never had a pound coin on me when I wanted to go out for a blast....

I reckon this should go over 1600 cm3 pretty easy, but still has the small ass valves like all big oilboilers do! That sure needs some attention before any boring.

We're going over 1600cc and the head is going off to Roger Upperton were we are looking to fit larger valves and cams. Its going to be alot of work to get the head to flow the figures we need but we're all pretty sure it can be done

I know to two guys out here running PTR 1620cc / 160hp GSX1400's. www.ptr.com.au/gsx14.htmlThey're not the easiest motor to hot up. Small injectors and inlets that don't directly swap with any other Suzuki. There is a lad out here running GSXR throttle body's on billet spacer-inlets. Turbo / Nitrous will get around this but as a normaly aspirated lump they aren't most folks choice. I can see why your using a 14 frame. Motor is wide (and heavy) and doesn't drop into any other GS/GSX/GSXR/Suzuki frame. A local guy has one in a 1100ET frame but it had some surgery to widen the lower rails.
