Looking into the possibility of turbo kit for bandit 1200.The bike is 1216 11.1 comp ,gsxr 750 cams, mild porting and dyna 2000 ign at the moment.I know I will need to lower compression by spacer plate and fit heavy duty head studs.Has anybody used these proboost kits? What else should be done to improve kit?Just want to get info before I decide which route to take.Got some info from a previous post here but more would be better as new to the idea of turbo.Any info greatly appreciated.Thanx in advance.

id justgo see dave dunlop - his ride in ride out service seems reasonable, and his kits are tried and tested.

Yeah Pasis, seen they had improved the system but must admit the Chinese turbo makes me a bit worried.!! Thanks Bigd for the info on Dave.Have emailed him thru his site so shall see what happens.Would rather spend a bit more on a tried and trusted system rather than a system which has Chinese components.Might be ok but who knows.True saying is you get what you pay for.Cheap can be a compromise, which usually costs more in the end...

The turbo in that kit is Chinese indeed. But I wouldn't be too worried about that. Proboost has sold those Chinese turbos already for few years and I haven't heard any bad feedback about them. Apparently they have done quite much work for finding a manufacturer that can produce good quality. But if you prefer brand name turbos I think the Proboost kits are still available with Mitsubishi turbos as well: www.proboost.fi/EN/tk_GSXR1100_89-92.htmlBut better to email or call them directly and ask what's available at the moment. Generally I would rate Proboost kits to "tried, tested and trusted" category

Is there any information since the last post on the proboost kit? Fabricating and sourcing of trustworthy parts is somehow tricky here in Thailand; so any feedback is appreciated.
Also on the fb turbo bike site i see that they are showing pictures of gsxr / bandit "race" turbo kits... available from march this year...
Thanks

Have also some chinese turbos on my bikes. They work great. The only thing - the material of the turbine housing is rusting quiet quickly.

Turbo kit has arrived and is installed... Proboost turbo kit for a Bandit 1200. I've got 36mm Mikuni from a 98 Bandit on it. Can anyone recommend main jet and needle setting as well as Co turns to make it run.... I know it's a dump question but i just need something to work with. Tried to call the manufactor but he doesn't speak English.. Greetings from Thailand ;-)
