I'm currently looking into doing the bandit swing arm swap on my gs1150.I'm looking at buying an '05 b12 swing arm and just want to make sure that it will be the same process as the earlier swing arms (pivot adapters/ spacers). I also got a smoking deal on a later 2000's GSXR wheel that I'm thinking about trying to adapt along with the beautiful light weight axle it came with if anybody has any thoughts or experience trying the same. I'm pretty sure it will require some sort of math and machining, possibly a blood sacrifice? but it's all in the name of weight savings and traction, so probably worth it right?

Hi there
mk1 and mk2 swing arms are the same except for chain rubbing strip which is slightly different shape and mount hole. Mk2 welds prone to cracks mk1 not came across that problem as for the water cooled bandits I've no experience.

fitting the gsxr wheel is not a stright swop the whel spindal size is way bigger than bandit, the chain run is 10mm out so you need to move the sprocket in, and the disc spacing and diameter is all wrong, none of ghis is a big problem, but why not fit a gsxr swinger and the its much easier, just the chain run to sort
