All members and watchers , no matter how basic you think what your doing is , post it up , it may help someone , that's what we are about! You might regret saying that .... ok, boring restoration of a GSX750 to follow soon in the build section + more stupid questions than you can throw a stick at

I'm quite happy for one or two knobs to stick to shytebook. Anyone still thinking the old site will be back are daft. My threads seem to get people posting lol, often taking the piss but I don't mind. Funnily the old site was recommended to me by an exup rider. Anyhow I'm thinking of treating my old girl to some dyna coils now. Anyone got some for me

I think for any new members to a forum its difficult to just wade in, same as turning up to a bike meet and planting yourself in the middle of a bunch of strangers. You don't want to be the dick interrupting if you don't know what the score is and lets be honest, if they're talking jet sizes/ bhp rates or whatever and you only know how to put air in your tyres, you're going to feel a little intimidated. But, that said, on both the old and new forum I've always been made to feel welcome and when I've put my oar in, its always been positively responded too. If you are a noob, stick up your piccy's, tell us what your doing, even if its just a tip on how you get your bike cleaner than your mates, you will get chatted to and you may even teach some old dogs new tricks. I know I've learned loads on here, from reading but also from 'asking'. If you don't know the answers, then its not a stupid question, ! As for faceache, I have an account, but rarely use it, just to keep in touch with old mates. If I want specific info, I come here, simple.

I'm new here. I'm pretty new to bikes and fairly new to old skool Suzukis.
I've only been riding my bandit shed for two years.
I can understand why some people lurk rather then post. For me I'm still learning about bikes in general. It's hard to join a forum and start talking away.
I don't have that much knowledge about older bikes and what parts will fit what so I can't really help on those threads.
I feel I can only say "I really like your build mate" so many times before I look like a brainless c**t!
That's just my 2ps worth anyhow.
Maybe I'm just a little more reserved? But anyhow I'm here to try and learn and hopefully make some decent mates as I'm fairly alone in the bike scene when it comes to local mates. You can tell some of you guys have known each other years and are willing to help each other out no questions. That's the kind of shit we should see more of!

Managed to sort something out which allows members to create their own galleries, look under the media category.

People are able to comment on anything they feel confident to do so, others may step in and correct you which isn't a bad thing it just depends how it's done. That shouldn't stop anybody posting though, nobody in here will admit to knowing everything if they do they're a lying scumbag! Collectively, there is a huge amount of knowledge and ability on this site as no doubt there are on others, this site just happens to be more concentrated towards a particular breed. Also remember we all have off days, but an apology can work wonders manners cost feck all. Most folk will happily offer advice on any subject they something about, if you wait long enough you may even get the right answer. You can't force folk to join in, we're all different, just go with the flow and see what develops. It's a fact that if you stand still long enough, you'll become an inovator, it's the cycle of life and that cycle will no doubt be a Suzuki.

I'll be honest, I was more active on the old forum. I mostly post on the facebook page now. I just haven't bothered here, which is a shame. I'll be posting more now.

I'll be honest, I was more active on the old forum. I mostly post on the facebook page now. Me too, bung a bit up in Projects every now and then. Banter, now that I get from FB, probably just because that's where the OSS people I know hang out, the people that I've got pissed with on numerous occasions, and, because they're there, you can have as close to a real time conversation as is possible. All the disadvantages of FB I'd agree with regarding information loss. Forums also have their place

I post when I have something to say or a question to ask, but I check on here at least a couple of times a day. I ask loads of stupid questions, and only very occasionally does some idiot make an unnecessary smart arse comment, but you find those people everywhere in life. Learnt loads off here over the years, but still know next to nothing compared to some. Friendliest and most helpful forum on t'interweb.
