Indeed, but suzuki had the inazuma police bike, them have longer bars. Good effort fella!, I knew about the GSX750P but not noticed the bars before. Just been lookin' at some photos; the police bike bars have a very similar rise to the bars I found. Wonder how in the hell I could buy parts for one of these?!. Money is in short supply so will carry on with my plans to make cables for now, but definitely something to consider for the future... if my homemade cables break

linkVenhills used to make one off cables, don't know about now.Click the link for their website. They still do apparently mate, bit pricey to have 'em made tho'.. probably cheaper to buy genuine Suzuki police bike cables (see previous post)

When I did bike break downs in London many years ago, we used a small gas torch to soldier the nipples on. We always stated it was a temporary repair. However, most lasted a very long time. I've made my own cables that way, and had no problems.

I make my own, get all the bits from Venhill, they do Stainless steel braided teflon sleeve that looks the dogs. never had a soldered nipple let me down!! Steve, what's yer prefered tool for soldering cables up mate?...oh and how about solder?. LOL, think the stainless braided outers are a bit too luxurious for me right now, (low income vs escalating budget), but they are nice those Set it up using the screw nipples then replaced with the soldered ones. Ive got a little butane soldering iron from Maplin, works a treat and much better than electric. That's a great tip, thanks for sharing Been looking at the butane powered solderin' irons for a while; yep, must get meself one those soon. Cheers all for the link to Venhill, brilliant online shop and tons of cable making parts

Just had a quick look at Maplin and this looks like a pretty good deal.. Soldering IronVariable between 30 and 100w so plenty of oomph for cable-makin' I'd reckon Now... how to save another £20 on me parts budget so I can buy one!

Sorry to dig this thread back up again but out of curiousity, I thought I'd check out kokolis's suggestion to look at cables for the GSX750P, the Police bike version of the GSX750 Inazuma.
Wonderin' how in the hell I could ever find out the part nos, nevermind find the actual parts, t'other day, I sent an email to Suzuki UK. Got a really nice reply back from customer servics exec', Glen Coppock, sayin' that he'd need to contact Suzuki Japan as this model never reached these shores.
A few days later, he'd found all the parts nos for the full set of cables. Decided to see if Robinsons's had them and yep, in stock. Unfortunately, I can't afford the £70+ for these but worth adding the info here, just in case someone else might wanna fit taller/wider bars.
58300-03F00 - Throttle cable
58300-03F10 - Throttle cable
58200-03F00 - Clutch cable
58410-0JF00 - Starter cable

the fact that Robinsons have them in stock means that these cables are also used on some other model(s) which is/are officially imported.

Never had to make one.
Find a well stocked spares counter with a clue'd up staff member and don't go when they are busy.
Take in the stock cables and say "same ends... ( plus whatever extra is needed)"
Always works for me. Had sone odd balls like GN250 cables but factory quality.

Doing it that way the shop also gets to shift some old stock. My local Suzuki dealership (Springwood Suzuki) is normally quite happy to help.
