Hi All, As we all know there's alot of info on the old google about model history for oil cooled 750s and 1100s, but there's also a lot of self proclaimed experts on them too! I have gathered up a bit of a hoard of slingshots and currently building myself a 7/11as a few of you guys know cos I got a few bits of here, thanks again OSS! What I would like to know is....... A. What are the specific differences and reasons for putting an 1127 motor in a 750 frame, apart from the obvious (no replacement for more displacement!) And B. what the frame/model/year numbers all mean, like I have a GR7AA 750 frame and the frame I took the 1127 motor from is GR7AC but can't find any specific stuff relating to these numbers?! Anyone got a list or something?! Any info will be greatly appreciated Thanks

Typical! One of the frames in question is a GV73C the only thing not on that list!! Any ideas?! It also has a fixed rear shock mount which I've not seen before as apposed to the bolt on like all others I've seen?!

Just noticed there are letters stamped in the lower section of these frames inside at the bottom between the webbing, I have a 750 GR7AA with the letter M stamped in it and the 1127 frame with a K stamped in it, surely that's not coincidence?!! Gotta be the model surely?!!

K the 89K models were the only ones to have a removable top shock mount, all the others were part of the frame.

Gotta be the model surely?!! You'll find numbers on the frame to the right of the shock mount. Don't think they have much to do with model codes, more like frame batch codes. More for Suzuki's benefit in tracking batches for quality control.

Aaaaaargh!! Ok thanks for that, thought I'd finally hit the jackpot there and there was a light at the end of the tunnel! Just seems odd that the frames i am looking at KLMN and the fact I have one with a K and one with an M stamped on them could have been my 'AHA' moment?!
