Right lads i bought 2 sets of 1260 barrels in good condition one that's got 4 Pistons but one is different the cut outs are different , the other barrels have 3 Pistons , they come with a set of brand new piston rings . Now I'm going to get the barrels honed and buy a new set of Pistons and rings but I've measured the bores they are 77.9 mm does anyone no what Pistons to get and where from , also is it right there are different gudgeon pin sizes on the efe ? Cheers

Nominal size should be 78 mm for the pistons then. EFE pistons got 20mm pin diameters. Which brand of pistons you buy is up to your liking. I for one recommend Arias, which I have a 1230 cc setup running since 2 years without any issues whatsoever. But I'd also be willing to take REC (German make) which are used in the local classic race series very often.

I'd start with checking the weight of them bud, if it's different than the other three, bin it for use in there.
Do they measure up the same, it looks like the oil control rings are a tad narrower or is that just the picture?

You want them to be equal in weight for sure mate, difficult to say when you're dealing with unknown pistons. I had a chart/calculation method somewhere that could work out the force effect of even 0.1gram of a difference running up to 10krpm
They're obviously an important part of any engine, never cut any corners on performance motors, you'll regret it in the end fella.
It could be a wiseco piston, my motor has wiseco pistons and the crown and valve pocket design look identical. But judging by the fact the other pistons have more pockets than that one may suggest there is a significant weight difference.
