Has anyone fitted a koso clock or similar, I've been looking at some of these KOSO copies from "aliexpress" (have bought loads of vaping stuff etc.. from their in the past and all seems ok)
The KOSO copies look very similar to the originals, but substantially cheaper (£30 as opposed to £250...)
even if i have to replace it every couple of years thats still a saving!
If anyone has fitted any digital speedo, can the magnetic speed sensor be fitted to the rear wheel?
would stop the need for any obvious wiring at the front, just so it looks a bit tidier. also being a bandit at least the back wheel will be on the floor most of the time!
Cheers for any input.

If anyone has fitted any digital speedo, can the magnetic speed sensor be fitted to the rear wheel? I see no reason why not old boy... seem to remember the MOT testers manual states only that you must have a workin' speedo

Jolly good, can hide the wiring for it easy enough.
But are these copies any good!

But are these copies any good! That's the $64000 question... the actual electronic module may be ok, but I'd thoroughly check the case it's housed in is 100% waterproof.... it's that kinda thing that lets a lot of cheap chinese stuff down IMO

looking at the pics of them, the loom connector at the back is open to the elements, however with my large selection of mastic's and silicone sealants I'm certain to make it watertight Think i'll get one and see how it goes... will be better than my shiny bandit clocks anyway!

have you ever had packages opened by customs or had to pay extra duty?? Have had a few opened, you can tell by the cuts in the wrapping and parcel tape over cuts in envelopes etc.. some even have stickers on to say they have been opened... Have never had to pay extra duty...

I use the phone app from play store (also available from iTunes I should have thought!) Have always had a problem using their website on a PC, but seems to work fine on a smartphone or tablet?? Maybe one of the forum admin (who's bound to be a bit PC / Mac geeky ) Could explain!! This is the mobile site... m.aliexpress.com/?tracelog=wwwhome2mobilesitehome

My b12 speedo pickup is on the back wheel no problem. I also have one of these koso copies but not fitted it yet, some people say they are rubbish but we will see.

I have a genuine KOSO dash / clock. Not cheap but still worth it. Quality item, great back up service, choice of 3 rev scale faces etc. Mine doesn't use a magnet. It has 1 wire that follows the front brake line down to the caliper, and a pick up. Mine is set to count the front disc brake bobbins. No messing with magnets. Works great. Heaps of features to play with, out in floods and Aussie sun. top bit of kit. I'd rather skimp and save elsewhere. shift light, pre shift light, remembers highest speed / rev's etc from each trip counter reset. I'm using the fuel, rev, oil, lights, an "over speed" light for boring highway rides, neat LED's that follow the rev counter needle, etc etc feeds from the original loom. www.digital-speedos.co.uk/
