Here's my b6 project all tarted up what I'm thinking of doing is putting a b12 engine in next. Forgive me if this is a stupid question as mucking about with bikes is kinda new to me but is this a straight forward conversion or is this a fabrication job also is there a better conversion to go with other than b12 such as gsxr 750 or 1100 engine? Thanks in advance for any advice ?

any oil cooled will fit, b12 gsxr 750/110 with minimal work, BUT the brakes and suspenders aren't really up to handling a 600 so if it was me id sort that first, no point going faster if you cant stop

Or, fit a 750 top end on your B6 bottom end, then you have the option to go for an 884 kit - after you have made it stop properly !

And I've heard of these mystical 884 kits where do I find them and does the block need machining or do you just replace the liners?

I think TTS do an 884 kit for that engine, all the info you will need will be on Google I reckon

Last time I seen someone talk of the 884 from TTS quoted the work was about £2k for an 884, not for me at that price

12 engine in a 6 is easy just remember to drill the bottom rear engine mount on the frame for the bigger 12 mounting bolt
