Hi, just a thought. Need a new set of tyres for the gsx750f, has anyone used maxxis brand or is it better to stick to more mainstream brand. It currently has well used bridgestone bt-021's on at the moment. Thanks Ferg

there is already a thread about Maxxis tyres, use the search function.
Or just don't bother and buy some real tyres.

I had my first serious crash on Maxxis tyres (highside @ 130 km/h) I can see why you are put off. They sound like a tyre i have years ago on my vf1000r - a michelin macadam, i remember riding the 20 miles to work one day in thee rain shortly after i bought them, front end couldnt stay at peace, arrived at work and the tyre was still as cold as when i left the house. Tell me this, do you think fitting a 160 tyre instead of the 150 rear would make much difference? I was only wondering cause there is a better verity available - and for better money.

I've used these guys for car and bike for the last few tyres - excellent prices, new stock too (as in, made very recently) www.oponeo.co.uk/ The Michelin pilot power tyres suit my 1100 a treat and the side walls are pliable enough to slip them on by hand, with a good helping of tyre soap !

Yep, lots of companies out there.
FWR are good for end of line pair deals.

I had those tyres on a previous bike (won't mention what it was lol) and it would wheel spin in a straight line without warning
