Running fine, then will only run on choke and then notice fuel leaking everywhere out of air box. i presume that a carb rebuild us on the cards, but before I start losing tiny bits on my workbench..... when end I checked, the hose below was unconnected....where should it connect to? I'm completely useless with carbs, sorry. thanks, Liam

Can't really see it's not the vacuum for the fuel tap is it

Thanks, but no, It's not the fuel tap vacuum or the fuel hose. They're both attached ok. It fits onto the first carb in from the right about half way up on the backing the right hand side.

I'm straining my mince pies with that photo, but if it's the long tube I think it should run right under the tank to the outlet/breather at the headstock end.

Those hoses equalise the pressure in the float bowls

Thanks for both suggestions. I'll check again tomorrow. It's not long enough to reach to the front of the tank.
I'm assuming that an equaliser pipe being dislodged wouldn't chuck fuel out though.... Wishful thinking.

Screen grab pics when usin' a pc, laptop e.t.c... just a case of hittin' the "print screen/sysrq" key and then openin' any graphics program (MS paint e.t.c) and selecting the paste function

Stuck floats are usually the cause of petrol flooding outta the carbs. Float bowls off and see if the floats pivot on their pins ok ... they should move up and down freely. Are the floats the old soldered brass type on this bike?, if so make sure they're not punctured (and full of fuel) Also check that the float needle valves aren't sticking. There are tiny springs inside them, check they don't stick and also examine the conical tips of each of the valves for any ridges or other signs of wear. Check the needle valve seats for gunk... anything that might make the valves stick. Before takin' yer carbs off... you could try gently tapping all 4 float bowls with a bit of wood (e.g end of a hammer shaft), this can often free a sticking float valve mechanism GSX1100EF manual online here : MANUALFuel system starts at section 4 and does show two pipes that I assume are for overflow
