Just been out for a quick ride over some of the Island's bumpy potholed roads to give the new shocks a try. They felt fine. I'm no expert when it comes to setting up suspension, so left them as they came out of the box, ride was smooth enough, firm with little bounce. Seem good enough.

I'd like to ask, that, are there any possibilities of settings except for preload adjustment? I'm wondering putting a set to my GSX1400 to replace the originals, since both the hydraulic preload adjustment and damping are gone. But I don't really know if they would be really OK for me If there is any experience from other members, please, tell me

Hi pretty sure you can up the nitrogen in them like the old air shocks if you can find somewhere to do it. Put mine on the gsx/gs need to play around with the pre load but defiantly better than the 30 year old knackered air shocks i had on Although i never did get a c spanner in mine

Thank you both.
So, shortly, it could worth a try if I can live with only changing the preload (and ride height if needed) by myself, 'cause nitrogen pressure change needs special tools, and the only way changing the damping is deflate nitrogen/change oil/inflate again, or increasing/decreasing nitrogen pressure.

Just as an aside I spoke to Richard at Maxton a couple of weeks ago and at the minute he is doing some shocks for a customer with standard gsx1100 fork fittings. I have their kit on my bmw r1200 gsa and it is superb, come August I will be ordering a set for my Kat, mind you they are £500 plus !

Other than the colour the first ones look pretty much the same as what I fitted on my Katana. I haven't tried them on the road yet, so can't recommend them or not. Ask me again in six months. Been looking on the bay, and can only find ones based in OZ, so before I order would like to confirm stander length, the ad says 335mm is this the standard length.? Many thanks

I have these on my cafe racer, and there fairly good for money! Very difficult to bottom each one out prior to using but I just bounced each one 30times or so to get it set up. The progressive spring is fairly good and firms up once Initial compression made I may yet fit some lineir spring later. material wise there good enough and and value for money I'm off to Spa on it in few weeks and they will get some serious hard on way so my test of 1000miles on these I will give a update. its thumbs up from Fuller.
