I've seen a Slingshot tank fitted to a Bandit frame, anyone know what's involved/ what needs cutting out and moving?

A few have done it, the bottom of the tank needs some modification to clear the bandit frame and the sides of the tank need work to match the lines of the frame, closest is the water cooled tank but still need s a lot of work

Found this pic somewhere on the interweb a while back. Yeah slingy tank looks great on bandits.

yep, it's mine in the contest. It depends on which bandit frame you want to fit it. I don't have any experience with fitting onto 1st gen, but on the 2nd gen you need to rework tank bottom. I bought second bandit tank, cut the bottom, cut also bottom of slingy tank and welded the bandit's to slingy's. I think it was the easiest way. Anyway, if you look at my pic, you'll notice that the space between frame and tank should be reduced. Now it's too late in my situation, got no idea how to do it when it's all painted. I couldn't do it in the past, the girl who painted tank was in hurry before moving to UK.
What's more, if you're going to do it the same way, remember to have both tanks with the same fuel level float and and the fuel tap.

Thanks for taking the time to reply guys. It'll be a Mk1 Bandit frame getting the treatment (turned up at a price I couldn't say no to) and looking at the pic Jaydee posted up it'll take some work to get the lines to flow but maybe going to be easier than I thought to do if it "only" involves butchering a couple of tanks. I had visions of having to cut the frame around!
