Hi Yoshi. You'd be better off getting a brand new sight glass and pressing it in. I wouldn't reuse the old one as it's a one shot deal, the old one are normally deformed when removing the window. A new seal is a good seal. Think it's the same size sight glass used in most Suzukis, part no. 11971-33210 which fits bandits, gsxr's , busa's etc Just compare measurements of the gsx sight glass to your bandit before ordering a new one.

Oil sight glass for aircooled GS/GSX is 11971-45010 it measures 25.5mm OD, not sure if that the same as the one Jaydee mentioined. Can be a bit of a bugger to install after powder coat, may be worth masking the aperture so as not to reduce the ID. Jonboy

I used permatex aviation sealant 80017 . No nasty goob lumps . Brush on product . Bugger to get off your fingers unless you have a little alcohol kicking around . 8 years no leak . Also found it to be good for coating cardboard gaskets that suffer from sweating . But takes some cleaning - so dont tend to use on any components that regularly get opened up - such as valve covers .

I would go for a new glass and make sure you mask the seating area and the "lead in" before coating. I'd go for an ali plug that's just a light, press fit. Score around it with a sharp knife before you remove.
