There was a thread on the fitting of hayabusa pistons into an EFE motor but can't find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction as I've looked through and I'm lost. Cheers in advance, Dave H.

You need to shorten EFE cylinder block 2,5 mm to get zero deck with Busa pistons. Front cam chain guide needs to shorten 2,5mm from the top. Get Cometic 80mm MLS head gasket and open cylinder holes to 81mm (you need to bore rivets, deburr holes and wash between layers).Adjust cams 110/110. Tune carbs and enjoy.

We are using bandit liners in the EFE block and believe the block needs material removing from the bottom as the bandit liners are shorter. Also bike is going draw through turbo so less material to remove for lowering the compression.

Busa slug is about 2mm lower in the bore "due to diff pin height" Just do a dry build and the sums to get the C/R you are aiming for....................When i did a hybrid i took the material from the deck and had the liners piano wired..............
you could allways chuck the blandit block on to fatty and use a spacer to get the C/R right.....less machining and cost.........

We are using bandit liners in the EFE block and believe the block needs material removing from the bottom as the bandit liners are shorter. Also bike is going draw through turbo so less material to remove for lowering the compression. I made a big block for my next project bike bt using bandit liners in the EFE block. Bandit liners have about 0.5mm bigger od than 1127 liners, so the liner holes get quite many break throughs to air channels between cylinders. To avoid oil leaks I machined o-ring grooves to the cylinder block as are with the EFE original liners. I milled 2,10 mm from the top of the EFE block before machining the liner holes for bandit liners. After liners was installed and bored, the machine shop skim 0,20mm more from the to of block. About the pin height I remember wrong, it´s about 2,30mm not 2,50mm. EFE piston: Busa piston: And the block with o-rings installed around liner bottoms. Oil grooves between cylinder studs are filled with epoxy. Engine is going to get the top end oiler.:
