Looking for some input from you guys.Have 1216 bandit at the moment.11.1 comp ratio. In the process of collecting parts at the moment.Heavy duty studs /nuts and valve springs on there way.Looking to lower compression by using spacer below block.Does using 1.5mm spacer and a couple of base gaskets(stock or copper?)sound about right for lowering to a suitable figure for turbo app?Any input appreciated.

Depending on boost and fuel you can use 1,5 or 2mm foot spacer. OEM or Cometic headgasket will be fine

I would get another block and bore it for some busa pistons then sell the 1216 kit and barrel as your going to mess about stripping the engine . Worth investing in an air fuel ratio meter as well like an innovate LM1 to check the fueling/set up the carbs , saves a lot of time / guess work . Got to bulid a turbo bike at least once my bandit 12 turbo makes my k4 gsxr 1000 feel like its only got 3 spark plugs .

Wideband air fuel meter is on the shopping list. Will probably run the current set up with spacers until I get stuff figured out.Next winter will probably go for full motor rebuild.Hopefully it makes it till then!!!!lol.
